Many areas in the tourist city of Nha Trang in the coastal Khanh Hoa Province were submerged by floods on Tuesday.
More than 100 households were evacuated, while one person was killed.
Heavy rains over the past few days have also flooded many schools in Vinh Ngoc, Vinh Thanh, Vinh Hoa and Vinh Hai communes.

The Central and Central Highlands Flood and Storm Prevention Centre on Wednesday forecast that the water levels from rivers in Thua Thien-Hue to Ninh Thuan provinces will continue to rise in the coming days.
Meanwhile, heavy rains since December 11 have also flooded and isolated many areas in the southern central provinces of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen and the central highlands Gia Lai Province. Floods also killed one person in Binh Dinh.
