The Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said the 2026 Nghe An Carnival and a major concert would be held to mark the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day on September 2.

The carnival, themed Endless Sunshine, will run along Truong Thi Street from the Lenin Monument to the Muong Thanh Phuong Dong Hotel in Truong Vinh Ward, formerly central Vinh City.
It will take place from 5.30 pm to 8 pm on both days, featuring float parades and performances at several points along the route.
The programme will include samba and Malambo dances, circus acts, fire performances and stilt walking, combining music, dance, costumes and lighting.
A highlight will be a series of themed floats showcasing Nghe An's cultural heritage, landscapes and people.
Following the street events, a major concert will be held at Ho Chi Minh Square on the evening of August 19, featuring well-known singers and artists and expected to draw tens of thousands of spectators.
The concert is expected to conclude with a fireworks display.
Organisers said the open carnival route would allow residents and visitors to watch the parades and performances and interact with performers.
The events are expected to add to Nghe An's tourism offerings and promote large-scale street festivals in Vietnam's north-central region.
