The State Bank of Vietnam and the World Bank have signed an agreement and related legal documents on an additional finance to improve people’s access to water and sanitation in the Red river delta.
The 65.27 million USD additional fund will go to the Red river Delta Rural Water Supply and Sanitation project.
The project is designed to satisfy the rural demand for water, raise people’s awareness of clean water and strengthen community capacity for construction and management of water works as well as accelerate the national strategy on water supply and rural sanitation until 2020.
The project is expected to help improve living conditions and reduce poverty for rural people.
