Vietnamese athlete to run at world championship

Nguyen Thi Huyen will be Vietnam's sole representative to compete at the Athletics World Championships in China next month.

Nguyen Thi Huyen will be Vietnam's sole representative to compete at the Athletics World Championships in China next month.

The Southeast Asian Games winner will compete in the women's 400m and the 400m hurdle.

Huyen is the second Vietnamese runner to attend the world tournament. The first, Truong Thanh Hang, competed in the women's 800m in 2011.

The 15th year of the tournament is scheduled for August 22-28 in Beijing, China.
