Vietnam enter VTV Cup semi-final

Vietnam defeated Thailand's U23 squad in their third match at the International Women's Volleyball Tournament – VTV Cup in the southern province of Bac Lieu.

Vietnam defeated Thailand's U23 squad in their third match at the International Women's Volleyball Tournament – VTV Cup in the southern province of Bac Lieu on July 27.

Helped by the outstanding performance of veterans Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and Do Thi Minh, the team won 25-22, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21.

It is Vietnam's third win in a row in this event. They are sure to enter the semi-final round.

Vietnam will next meet China's Liaoning.

Six teams, including five foreign teams, are competing in a round-robin format in the tournament. The top four will compete in the semi-final.

The winners will walk away with US$10,000, while the first and second runners-up will receive $7,000 and $5,000, respectively.
