Helped by the outstanding performance of veterans Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and Do Thi Minh, the team won 25-22, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21.
It is Vietnam's third win in a row in this event. They are sure to enter the semi-final round.
Vietnam will next meet China's Liaoning.
Six teams, including five foreign teams, are competing in a round-robin format in the tournament. The top four will compete in the semi-final.
The winners will walk away with US$10,000, while the first and second runners-up will receive $7,000 and $5,000, respectively.
