Vehicles to be banned from many HCM City streets

Vehicles will be prohibited from many streets in HCM City from today, January 29, according to the municipal Department of Transport.

From January 29-February 7, vehicles will not be allowed to travel on Le Loi Street from Nguyen Hue Street to Quach Thi Trang Square. This is because of the setting up of the book street in the area.

Vehicles can use Pasteur, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia and Nguyen Trung Truc streets, instead.

To ensure the preparation for Nguyen Hue Flower Street on February 2-5, vehicles will not be permitted to run through Nguyen Hue’s section which links Le Loi and Ton Duc Thang streets between 4 to 8 pm.

Meanwhile, on February 2-14, the city will ban vehicles on Nguyen Hue, Le Loi, Nguyen Thiep, Mac Thi Buoi, Ngo Duc Ke, Hai Trieu, Huynh Thuc Khang, Ton That Thiep. This is to make it easier for people to visit Nguyen Hue Flower Street and book street.

Local authorities should be contacted if requiring assistance in entering the event area.
