The General Director of the UNESCO, Irina Bokova, will start her official visit to Vietnam on October 1 and attend the capital’s millennial anniversary at the invitation of the Chairman of Hanoi municipal People’s Committee, Nguyen The Thao.
The visit is expected to boost Vietnam-UNESCO cooperation. Vietnam and UNESCO will also sign agreements on bilateral cooperation for the 2010-2015 period.
This is Mrs. Bokova’s first visit to Vietnam.
