Hanoi has begun providing 120 free buses running on 5 routes in the city in anticipation of its 1,000 year celebrations.

According to Hanoi’s Department of Transport, these 5 free routes will be available from September 28 to October 10.
These 5 routes will operate from 6am to 8pm every day. The 120 buses will transport passengers from 8 free parking areas including Kim Nguu, Hai Boi, Hong Ha, underneath areas of Vinh Tuy Bridge, Gia Thuy, Dich Vong, My Dinh and Yen So Park.
The department requested relevant agencies to quickly put up sign boards of free parking area locations and provide details on the five free routes including the name of each route and transportation schedule.
The 1st route runs between Yen So Park and Long Bien Bus Stop Area.
The 2nd route runs between Kim Nguu Parking Area and Tran Khanh Du Parking Area.
The 3rd route runs between My Dinh I,II Parking Area and Kim Ma Bus Station.
The 4th route runs between Gia Thuy Parking Area and Tran Khanh Du Parking Area.
The 5th route runs between Hai Boi Parking Area and Thu Le Park.
