A beach in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa has been seriously eroded due to saline intrusion.
The erosion occurred at the beach in Hoang Truong Commune in Hoang Hoa District. The situation has become more severe since seawater encroaches deep into the mainland and damages roads in a tourist site.
Nguyen Thi Thanh, 62, said that she and other locals were extremely worried about the erosion. She hoped that local authorities would soon take drastic measures to address the problem.
