People normally travel by boat across Ban Ve Hydropower Reservoir to the centre of Huu Khuong Commune in Tuong Duong District. However, the reservoir’s water has neared dead level, so people have to wade through the muddy ground to reach the boat pier.

It is quite dangerous for people to go through the muddy sections as they can get stuck there.

Local authorities have installed warning signs of possible dangers at the reservoir.

Residents have also built a two-kilometre road in the reservoir for people to get access to the centre of Huu Khuong Commune. Two wooden bridges have also been built on the road so that people can avoid deep holes.

The water of the reservoir is now at the dead level, which has severely affected the operation of Ban Ve Hydropower Plant.
