Seven people rescued from human trafficking ring in Kon Tum

According to the police, they recently received a call asking to help recover someone who had been trafficked to Myanmar.

After investigating the case, Kon Tum police managed to contact and safely bring home a man and six others including five men and a woman who were all trafficked to Myanmar.

At the police station, the man, who wished to be unnamed, said that last October he got acquainted with a person through a social network who introduced him to a job at an automobile assembly company with a good income in Tay Ninh Province.

The man is reunited with his mother.


Through that person's introduction, the man went to Moc Bai Border Gate in Tay Ninh and was sold to Cambodia to work. After a time, he continued to be sold to a company in Myanmar to work for some online scammers. Here he was closely monitored and constantly beaten. He and six other Vietnamese people managed to flee and contacted their families in Vietnam calling for help.
