Three sets of remains were found in Lamam District in Laos’ Sekong Province, near the Sekong River.
In Cambodia, the K53 team of the Quang Ngai Military Command recovered one set of remains in Ta Veng District of Ratanakiri Province.

The remains were badly decomposed and mixed with dark soil, with only 18 small bone fragments recovered along with personal effects including parachute fabric, a dagger and a B52-style bowl.
Samples have been taken for DNA testing, the command said.
The mission to search for and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos and Cambodia during the 2025-2026 period began in November 2025.
So far, the K53 team has recovered nine sets of remains, including seven in Laos and two in Cambodia.
