Following torrential rain over the past month, the water discharge from the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant has flooded Bai Giua.
Despite the challenges, the resilient residents of Bai Giua have adapted to the situation, using boats as their primary mode of transportation for school and work.

A local man said the area is often submerged when Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant’s water discharge and prolonged heavy rains.
Toan from Alley 76 An Duong Vuong Street said that his boat had served many people over the past month. From early morning, dozens of people wait for his boat. He also prepares lifejackets for passengers.
He can transport 6-8 people on each trip.
