The northern and central regions to face widespread hot weather
The central region would see the highest temperatures on June 28-29.
In July, northern and central localities would continue struggling with hot spells with the outdoor temperature being higher than 40 degrees centigrade. The most scorching hot weather would occur in mountainous areas in the west of the central region.
During the hottest days, the UV index would be very high, potentially affecting people’s health.
Fire warnings, and particularly concerns about forest fires, have been raised in the central region.
