According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the hot front will hit on April 3-5 with the northern provinces of Son La and Hoa Binh being the most affected.

The northern and central regions of Vietnam have been forecasted to witness a widespread heatwave from April 3-5
On April 5-6, northern and northern central localities would see downpours with strong winds, ending the heatwave. However, the hot weather would return to localities by late April.
The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting reported that the average temperature in March in northern and central regions were higher than many previous years by 0.5-1 degrees Centigrade. The average temperature in the Central Highlands and southern regions were approximately that of many previous years.
The total rainfall in northern and northern central regions in March would be 10-20 percent lower than in many years. The rate was 15-30 percent lower in the northwestern region. Rainfall in southern central, Central Highlands and southern region was equal to that of many previous years.
