The items were discovered on a riverbank about 2 km from Kim Xuyen Bridge in the Tan Minh area of Chan Mong Commune. After the find was reported, the Phu Tho provincial military command deployed forces to the site to verify the objects.

Authorities have cordoned off the area, erected warning signs and assigned militia and police to guard the location around the clock.

Relevant units have been instructed to recover and destroy the suspected explosives in line with regulations on unexploded ordnance.

Chan Mong Commune has also deployed additional personnel to maintain 24-hour surveillance and raise public awareness, urging residents to follow official guidance and stay away from the area until the operation is completed.
