A newborn baby is abandoned in Quang Nam forest
The baby girl was found at 9 am on November 6 by a couple who were visiting their farm near a forest in Que My Commune. The baby was left uncovered in a carton box with lots of insects on her pale body.
The couple rushed the baby to a nearby healthcare centre and she was then transferred to the Danang Children's Hospital in critical condition. Despite receiving intensive care and treatment, the baby died on November 8 due to respiratory failure.Director of Que Son District Healthcare Centre, Dinh Huu Long, said that the baby must have been left a day and a night before being found.
It is suspected that its mother went to the forest to give birth and then abandoned her child.
