Ireland will work to push the Việt Nam-European Union free trade agreement, the Irish Ambassador to Việt Nam, Cait Moran, told Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc at a meeting yesterday.

Phúc noted that the recent visit to Việt Nam by Irish President Michael Daniel Higgins was a success, creating a new impetus for bilateral relations.
He said Việt Nam hoped to boost trade and investment ties with Ireland, while looking for Ireland’s help in education and training, as well as assistance for the early signing of the Việt Nam-EU free trade agreement.
