The restaurant run by Honest Ha Long JS Company, is located in Cai Ram Urban Area in Bai Chay Ward.
The restaurant has been illegally operated on Ha Long Bay for many years
The company has even built an illegal wooden wharf on Ha Long Bay, affecting the traffic.
Chairman of Bai Chay Ward People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tung, said that the restaurant covers around 5,000 square metres.
In 2018, Honest Ha Long Joint Stock Company was fined VND40 million (USD1,632) for the violation. The firm was requested to demolish the restaurant but this has been ignored.
Tung added that local authorities once again ordered the investor to remove the restaurant but did not mention a deadline for the work.
It is said that Ha Long City authorities will investigate the lax management in Bai Chay Ward in the coming time.
