According to the Economic Crime Unit of the Quang Tri Police, officers stopped a passenger bus on Le Quy Don Street in Lao Bao Commune on suspicion of carrying illicit goods.

At the scene, police found a 43-year-old man loading four boxes onto the bus. A search showed the boxes contained 149 components used to assemble firearms.
Initial investigations indicated that the man had been hired by another local resident to hand the boxes to a bus driver for transport to Hanoi, police said.
The case remains under investigation.
