On April 5, intense heat was recorded from Ha Tinh to Danang and in eastern areas from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, with some locations surpassing 37 degrees Celsius.

The hot conditions are expected to persist on April 6 and April 7 across Thanh Hoa to Danang and eastern parts from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, where temperatures will remain between 35-37 degrees Celsius, with isolated areas exceeding 39 degrees Celsius.
In the southeast, heat is forecast to continue over the next two days, with temperatures reaching 35-36 degrees Celsius and locally above 36 degrees Celsius. Parts of the Central Highlands may also experience localised heat exceeding 35 degrees Celsius.
Northern regions, including the northwest and the Red River Delta, are expected to see hot weather from April 6, with more intense heat developing.
From April 7, the heatwave is forecast to expand across the northeast, where temperatures will range from 35-37 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 38 degrees Celsius.
The heat is expected to persist for several days.
