The city's biggest wholesale flower market is not only receiving local traders, customers and visitors but also those from some neighbouring localities.

Flowers and bonsai trees are brought here mostly from some famous flower villages in Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Hung Yen, and even from the central highlands flower hub of Dalat City or abroad.

A wholesale trader, Thu Minh, said that she has had more and larger orders from customers. "The demand for Tet decoration and ceremonies is very big," she said. "Normally the market only opens in early morning hours but now we're opening throughout the day and night."

Minh said that flower prices this year are the same as last year or even a bit lower for some varieties.

"Thanks to favourable weather, we're having more quality flowers," she said. "At present flowers for decoration including peach, lily, yellow apricot, and tulips are selling the best."

The market is expected to be busy until the final day of the lunar year.
