A large number of tree branches, bottles, plastic bags, and dead animals have drifted onto beaches including Thien Cam, Thach Bang, and Thach Hai since the heavy rains in late September.

Thien Cam, the most beautiful beach in Ha Tinh, has been flooded with waste.

"We're facing this problem every year during the flood season," the committee said. "More rubbish keeps being drifted to shore from the sea during floods or high tides."

All kinds of rubbish can be found along the five-kilometre Thien Cam Beach. Some children have arrived to collect things that can be recycled.

The four-kilometre Thach Hai Beach has also been covered by rubbish.

Chairman of Thach Hai Commune People's Committee, Bui Dinh Lam, also said that it would take time to collect this huge amount of waste.

Many visitors to the beach left after seeing the scene.

Local authorities have called on local residents to help collect rubbish and clean the beaches.
