The Centre for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), the first of its kind in the country, was launched in HCM City on October 2.
The centre will be responsible for taking care of deaf children\'s and psychological consultation while educating deaf people in sign language, communication skills and job placement.
Director of the CED Duong Phuong Hanh, also deaf, said that the centre\'s mission would be to help the deaf integrate into society and associate able-bodied people with the disabled.
