It took 3 fire trucks and firefighters had to break into one home to extinguish a vicious blaze which sparked yesterday at 12.40 pm.

The fire occurred at 359 Giai Phong Road, underneath Nga Tu Vong flyover in Hanoi and burned the 3rd floor of one home to ashes.
Do Van Kha, 80 year-old owner of the house, recounted that his family was having lunch at the time on the 2nd floor, when they suddenly heard a loud explosion from above. Noticing smoke, the whole family rushed outside and called the fire department.
The house next door, number 361, also caught on fire and firefighters had no choice but to cut the lock and break into the house in order to put out the flames.
Hundreds of onlookers stopped to watch the fire causing major traffic disruptions.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
