Deputy PM attends Future of Asia Conference

A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has been in Tokyo to attend the 2010 Future of Asia Conference from May 18-22 at the invitation of the Nikkei daily newspaper’s president Kita Tsuneo.

During the conference, the deputy PM will give a presentation on Vietnam’s economic partnership with other Asian countries, as ASEAN chairman.

Mr. Nhan and Vietnam’s delegation will also meet with senior officials from Japan’s government and visit the Tsukaba Cosmography Centre in Ibaraki.

Organised by Nikkei, a leading Japanese communications group, the annual conference has attracted keen interest from the leaders of many Asian countries.
