Counterfeited luxury product factory busted in Hanoi
Hanoi Department of Market Surveillance's Team 1 and the Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance inspected the textile factory at Ninh Hiep Industrial Park owned by Nguyen Anh Quyet. Quyet said he had the business licence issued by Gia Lam Department of Finance and Planning on September 24.
At the factory, the inspection team discovered many counterfeited products of many luxury brands from the EU and protected in Vietnam are being made.
Quyet admitted that he illegally made the counterfeited products. He doesn't have any permit from the brand owners and received orders from small traders.
The inspection team seized 124,101 clothing items and 35kg of fabrics and equipment at the factory.
The team will expand the investigation and verify the origin of the materials as well as the amount of sold products and operational methods.
