
Temperatures in Hanoi are set to plunge to between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius on December 22.
The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said the cold spell will bring drizzle and last until Christmas Day when a strong tropical depression forms and affects the central region.

Low temperatures of between 13-18 degrees Celsius are expected in Tam Dao in Phu Tho Province, Sapa in Lao Cai Province, Dong Van in Ha Giang Province and Mau Son Mountain in Lang Son Province.
The cold front is also expected to affect the flood-ravaged central coast provinces from Nghe An to Quang Ngai, with more rains and floods.
