This is the first cruise ship from Hainan to Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh following a long suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cheng Zhen cruise ship will stay in Vietnam for two days to take travellers to visit Ha Long and Hanoi. The ship has planned to conduct six more trips from Hainan to Ha Long Bay this year.
On November 29, 2023 the Chinese cruise ship Zhao Shang Yi Dun transported tourists from Shenzhen to Ha Long. Eight more trips linking the two cities will be operated by the ship this year.
The return of Chinese ships has shown signs of recovery in Chinese tourist numbers in Ha Long following the Covid-19 pandemic.
From Ha Long, it is quite convenient for tourists to visit Ninh Binh or Hanoi for 1-2 days.
Experts have suggested that Ha Long also needs to diversify its tourism products, particularly in the areas of culture and history.
