Cable chaos during morning commute

Drivers struggled to get through a section of Lang Ha Road as a cable snapped, fell to the ground and trapped everyone who went past.

During the morning rush hour (May 18) drivers struggled to get through a section of Lang Ha Road (Hanoi) as a cable snapped, fell to the ground and trapped everyone who went past.

Traffic on Lang Ha Road jammed because of a cable.

The turn point at 3B Lang Ha Road was severely effected and traffic was badly jammed.

Hoa, a resident living on Lang Ha Road said, "I've seen this cable since early in morning, watching many motorbikes struggling to drive over it."

At the scene, the cable is hanging low and part of it rests on the ground. Motorbike drivers who go past this point can easily get caught with the cable as it tangles near their feet, thus causing a traffic jam.

At 11 am, when a DTiNews reporter left the site, no responsible authorities were to be seen. About an hour later, someone called to inform us that the cable section at number 3B Lang Ha Road has been cleared however, another section of the cable at number 57 still remains where it is.

Below are a few pictures of the traffic jam and vehicles struggling to get by due to the cable:
