According to the local Department of Health, the man is from Binh Nham Ward in Thuan An City.

He was examined at Becamex International Hospital with suspected symptoms and his samples were taken for testing, showing that he tested positive for monkeypox.
Earlier, he came into contact with a 22-year-old monkeypox patient in HCM City who also comes from Binh Duong Province.
The Binh Duong Department of Health quickly formed a surveillance team to investigate and monitor the case. All individuals who had been in close contact with him have been instructed for disease prevention in line with the Ministry of Health’s regulations.
This new case has brought the total number of monkeypox infection in Vietnam to six, who are mostly in the southern region.
