The Governor-General of Australia, David Hurley and his spouse will visit Vietnam at the invitation of State President Vo Van Thuong from April 3-6.

According to the Australian Embassy to Vietnam, during the state visit, Governor-General Hurley and Mrs Hurley will also meet Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
Demonstrating the depth and breadth of the relationship, their excellencies will attend a variety of events in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of bilateral relations between Australia and Vietnam.
Strong bilateral trade and defence cooperation, educational and people-to-people links will be recognised with engagements in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
