The 31st General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-31) held its second plenary session in Hanoi on September 24 to adopt resolutions on political, cultural and social issues and draft resolutions drawn up by AIPA female parliamentarians.
During the five-day conference in Hanoi, the participants worked out an agenda with very important contents, conducted the first plenary session and held dialogues between AIPA members and observer countries, including Australia, Canada, China, the European Parliament, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Russia.
AIPA female members of parliament had separate meetings to promote women’s participation in political activities.
At the meetings with the AIPA delegates, Party leader Nong Duc Manh said that AIPA’s proposals have had a positive impact on policy making and law enforcement in ASEAN member countries.
