Vietnam have been placed in Pool G of the FIVB Women's World Championship 2025.
Vietnam will play Poland alongside other tough opponents in Pool G of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Women's World Championship 2025 which is scheduled to take place in Thailand from August 22 to September 7.
At a draw held by the FIVB on December 18 in the Thai capital of Bangkok, Vietnam (World No. 33) were placed into Pool G with Poland (World No. 6), Germany (World No.12), and Kenya (World No. 22).
For the first time in history Vietnam have qualified for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship as the fourth-best team at the Asian championships.
Poland are considered to be Vietnam’s main opponents in Pool G, particularly as they have participated in the World Championships for 11 times, grabbing one silver and two bronze medals.
In 2023 and 2024, Poland claimed third position at the Volleyball Nations League.
During the FIVB Women's World Championship 2025, 32 teams have been divided into eight groups, with matches to be held from August 22 to September 7 in four Thai venues - Bangkok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chiang Mai, and Phuket.
Two group winners will advance to the knockout stage to get underway in Bangkok.
Pool G matches will be hosted in Phuket, while the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals will take place in Bangkok.
