On Monday evening, Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H'Hen Nie came to Tan Son Nhat International Airport to see off Hoang Thuy, Miss Universe Vietnam 2019.
Many of her fans and relatives were also at the airport to say goodbye and wish good luck to her.

Hoang Thuy said that the pageant schedule was quite full so she would try her best to protect her health and be confident.
H’Hen Nie said that she had experienced Hoang Thuy’s feeling before the contest, so she came to the airport to encourage Thuy, hoping that Thuy would be confident and successful at the competition.
Thuy has brought along with her lots of gifts to present other countries’ representatives, including bamboo straws which are aimed to help reduce plastic waste.
Bamboo trees represent the resilience, indomitability and bravery of the Vietnamese people and she will perform Bamboo Walk at the competition’s catwalk challenge.
Thuy has also prepared more than 20 wooden-made watches for children who work voluntarily for Miss Universe 2019.
Hoang Thuy is set to depict Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk at the pageant.
The costume was created by designer Tran Nguyen Minh Duc. It features a bedazzled jumpsuit with beading detail. It also has a large spoon prop, filter headpiece and cup skirt, but Thuy reportedly found that difficult to walk in.
