Vietnam stay ready for SEA Games 32 opening clash with Laos

The Vietnamese team are ready to do their best and they are looking forward to the April 30 match, said the 68-year-old manager at a press briefing in Phnom Penh on April 29.

U22 Vietnam are said to play better than U22 Laos, but coach Troussier still showed respect for U22 Laos and other teams in Group B.

In this tournament, no team are stronger than the others stressed.

Vietnamese players coached by Park Hang-seo earned the championship title at the recent two Southeast Asian Games in a row.

SEA Games 32 will be a big test for Troussier because many of the young players lack international experience.

Pressure is growing when Troussier’s players lost five out of six recent friendlies ahead of the SEA Games.

The French expert crossed out three more names to complete the the list of 21 Vietnamese players for coming competitions.

Vietnam will play in Group A against Laos on April 30, Singapore on May 3, Malaysia on May 8 and Thailand on May 11.
