A magnetic bomb has been found by a stream near La Lay International Border Gate linking the central province of Quang Tri with Laos.
The bomb weighs 240 kilos, has a destructive radius of 1.5 kilometres, contains 80 kilograms of explosives, and has a diameter of 27 centimetres.

It was detected by the Khe Say Stream in Dakrong District.
Immediately upon being informed on October 22, the Military Command of Quang Tri visited the scene.
This bomb posed an extreme danger and could not be moved, requiring the military to detonate it on-site.
Roadblocks were set up, and nearby people were relocated to ensure safety before the detonation was conducted successfully.
