Under the municipal People’s Committee’s decision, the gifts will be distributed to revolutionary contributors, poor and near-poor households, the elderly, retirees, workers in difficult circumstances, and exemplary organisations and individuals.
The Hanoi Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has been assigned to co-operate with relevant agencies, districts and towns to conduct the Tet gift programme. The department is responsible for monitoring the gift-giving process to timely detect and address any potential violations.
Particularly, beneficiary lists, criteria, and gift levels must be made public at the offices of commune, ward, and town-level People's Committees.
The committees are also tasked with presenting congratulatory longevity cards from the State President to centenarians and from the Chairman of the City People's Committee to individuals turning 90.
