At around 7 am this morning, December 4, a 66-year-old man in An Phu Dong Ward, District 12, suddenly saw the crocodile lying by bonsai trees in the yard.

He immediately shouted for help and some neighbours came to assist in catching the animal.
The crocodile weighs around 8 kilos and is measured at roughly 90 centimetres in length. However, its origin remains unknown.
According to the man, the location where the crocodile was spotted was surrounded by bonsai trees, making it hard to notice. The previous night, his daughter heard the dogs barking continuously.
Authorities of An Phu Dong Ward have contacted the HCM City Forest Protection Department to hand over the animal.
