From December 21, northern localities are expected to see the temperatures falling to 9-13 degrees Celgius in the early morning and at night, and around 20 degrees Celsius during the day. Light rain may been seen in some areas.
Northern mountainous areas, including Mau Son and Sapa, are expected to experience severe cold weather, with the temperature dropping below 5 degrees Celsius.
The central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh would also experience rain and light cold weather from December 21 until Christmas. The southern central region will have rain on December 23-25.
The cold weather has been forecasted to affect HCM City. On December 21-22, temperatures could drop to below 20 degrees Celsius in the evening and early morning, bringing a noticeable chill.
