According to the National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting of Vietnam, northern localities are witnessing a prolonged dry weather front. Mountainous areas are cold in the morning and night, with temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius.
The northern region of Vietnam has been forecasted to see a slight cold spell early next week
On November 18-19, the region may face a weak cold air front, causing temperatures to drop by 3-4 degrees Celsius compared to previous days.
By late this month, northern localities would experience a strong cold wave, potentially bringing widespread chilly weather.
Cold air is predicted to intensify from December and last until February next year.
Since September, Vietnam's northern and central regions have witnessed six cold spells, most of which were mild in intensity.
On the East Sea, Storm Usagi has weakened. Meanwhile, typhoon Manyi is forecasted to enter the East Sea early on November 18.
