According to Le Thi Xuan Lan, an expert from the Southern Region Hydro-Meteorological Centre, the northern region of Vietnam will face continuous cold spells from now until the end of the year. On December 22-23, a strong cold front will arrive, resulting in a sharp temperature fall for northern localities, particularly in mountainous areas.

"The cold weather would also affect HCM City," Lan said. "From December 19, temperatures will slightly decline to 19-22 degrees Celsius at night and 26-30 degrees Celsius during the day. On December 21-22, temperatures could drop to below 20 degrees Celsius in the evening and early morning, bringing a noticeable chill."
Some Southeast regions would also experience temperatures below 18 degrees Celsius in the early morning, including Long Khanh in Dong Nai Province and Phuoc Long in Binh Phuoc Province, she added.
Meanwhile, Da Lat City would see temperatures of below 11 degrees Celsius on December 22-23.
