The launching ceremony was attended by the German Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Schulze, and officials from the VFF.

The event, organised by the Hanoi Youth Football League (HYFL), attracted over 500 children from 48 different teams categorised by ages of under 9, 11, 13 and 15 years old.

The award ceremony took place on Sunday.

Mr. Paul Schuttenbelt, one of the founding members of the league, said, “With this year’s Festival of Football we have been able to attract teams from outside Vietnam as well, and we are very happy to welcome the teams from Viettel and TNT”.

Ten of these teams were from Singapore and China; 25 teams from the Hanoi Youth Football League and the rest from TNT and Viettel groups.

The tournament is an opportunity for Vietnamese children, not only to play football, but to have an exchange with children from different countries.

The festival is sponsored by Ly Club, Joma’s, Da Paolo’s, Peace Dental Clinic, WestCoast Dental Clinic, Veggies, Family Health Practice, Intrepid travel, Fair Real Estate, Aspen Clinic and the German Embassy in Vietnam.
