The mother of Angelina Jolie's adopted son has just denied rumours that she wanted the boy to be returned to Vietnam.
The Yahoo news site cited the Australian New Idea Magazine about the case involving Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's Vietnamese adopted son, Pax Thien. According to an anonymous source, the 12-year-old's biological mother is making a bid to be reunited with her son. The magazine reported that Pax Thien's biological mother was still in jail.
"This is Brad and Ange's worst nightmare," a source told New Idea. "This is exactly what they've been dreading for years - that the biological parents of Maddox, Pax or Zara would come forward and try to take back their children."
However, Pham Thu Dung, Pax's biological mother, said she was surprised at the news as she is still working and living a normal life. She hasn't answered any interview about Pax Thien.
Pham Thu Dung, Pax's bilogical mother
"I gave birth to Pax but couldn't give him a good life. I'm appreciated that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have raised and given him a future that I'm unable to," she said.
Dung's family is still following news about Pax Thien but had never thought about fighting to take the boy back. Pham Chien, Dung's father, said, "We are surprised, why are there fake news like that? It can damage the feelings between us and Pax and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt."
Pax and Angelina Jolie
When being asked about the divorce of Angelina Jolie, the family said they still hoped that the couple could find a common voice to talk things through.
The New Idea also claimed that it had interviewed Nguyen Kim Xuyen, an employee at Tam Binh Orphanage. Xuyen said Angelina Jolie hadn't returned to visit the orphanage despite an initial promise.
Tam Binh Orphanage said they hadn't received any news about Dung and her family wanted to take Pax back and Xuyen was on leave.
13-year-old Pax was adopted by Angelina Jolie in 2007 at Tam Binh Orphanage, Ho Chi Minh City, 2007 under the name Pham Quang Sang. His name was changed into Pax Thien Jolie after the adoption.
