Torrential rains to hit central region
The central region of Vietnam has been forecasted to face heavy rains in some days, according to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.
The rains will affect the central region from November 25-27. Localities from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa would see a rainfall of between 100-300mm. Some areas would have a rainfall of up to 600mm.
Mountainous areas would struggle with flash floods and landslides due to the rains.
The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting predicted a tropical depression in the southern part of the East Sea. The tropical depression then could move westwards.
The north of the East Sea would have strong winds and rough seas, posing dangers for boats and ships.
Localities from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa have been urged to take measures to respond to the risks of landslides and flash floods.
