One dead, 19 injured in Dien Bien traffic accident
One passenger died and 19 others suffered injuries after a passenger bus crashed into a roadside fence in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien on Wednesday morning.

According to the Muong Cha District People's Committee, the accident occurred on the National Road 4H at 5.30 am when the bus driver, Nguyen Trung Tuyen, 49, lost control and crashed into the roadside fence.
The intense crash left a passenger dead on the spot while 19 others were injured.
"Three victims who had broken legs and two who suffered traumatic brain injuries have been rushed to the Dien Bien Provincial General Hospital for better treatment while others with slight injuries are being monitored at a local healthcare centre," the committee said. "The bus was heavily damaged."Initial investigations showed that the bus lost control while running down a slope before crashing into the roadside.
Police are further investigating the cause of the accident.
