The orders, which brought over VND3 billion in revenues, were made during a four-hour livestreaming session hosted by more than 10 famous key opinion consumers.

This was among events co-organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the An Giang Provincial Centre for Trade Promotion and Investment, and TikTok Vietnam from June 28-30 to introduce specialties of An Giang on the social website.

More than 10 famous influencers participating in the event introduced An Giang's best specialties including palm sugar, rice, fish sauce, dried fish, and dried shrimps and chili salt from over 20 local enterprises.

A local rice trading company, APG Eco, said that they sold some 50 tonnes of rice during the time, with revenues of some USD30,000.

Director of the An Giang Provincial Centre for Trade Promotion and Investment, Nguyen Minh Tien, said that this was a good chance for local agricultural products to reach more customers.

"Following this success, we're going to organise more events to showcase our products to different areas.
