A thick layer of snow has covered the peak of Mount Fansipan in the northern province of Lao Cai as the temperature dropped to zero degrees on December 28.
According to the Lao Cai hydro-meteorological station, snow has started to fall from 5 am on Wednesday and has covered all over the Fansipan Mountain which is between 2,800m - 3,143 metres high.
"The snow is forecasted to continue in some coming days," the station said.
Authorities in Lao Cai said that the temperatures have fallen to the lowest recorded this winter in the area.
The snow is expected to attract lots of visitors to Fansipan Mountain.
