The girl now is staying at Quy Hoa National Leprosy Dermatology Hospital in Binh Dinh Province’s Quy Nhon City.

The girl’s father said that the phenomenon had occurred to her daughter over the past four months when she was at the second semester of Grade 5.
Whenever, she was tired or stressful, sweat that looks like blood appeared on her face 3-4 times a day. This also caused headache for her, he added.
According to the father, no one in his family had these symptoms. The girl has been taken to some hospitals in HCM City for the treatment where she was diagnosed with dermatitis. Doctors gave her medicine, but the condition had not yet improved.

Nguyen The Toan from Quy Hoa National Leprosy Dermatology Hospital said that this was the first time the hospital had seen such a case. The girl was among few people in the world with the disease which did not have an appropriate treatment regime.
He noted that medical checks-up and tests indicated nothing unusual for her liver and kidney functions; but her sweat only had leucocyte and did not have erythrocyte.
