Local taxi driver overcharged three South Korean tourists on July 9
At 10.30 pm on July 9, three tourists called a taxi to go from Havana Nha Trang Hotel to Rosaka Nha Trang Hotel. They were charged VND200,000 (USD8.70) compared to a usual price of around VND25,000. The tourists refused to pay and the Rosaka Hotel guard also went out to talk with the driver, however, all of them were insulted by the driver.
The driver also threatened the guard. In the end, the tourists were scared by the driver's aggressive attitude and paid VND100,000 (USD4.35). The tourists were still worried and scared even after being escorted into the hotel.
"The driver's attitude is the problem. He even insulted and threatened the guard," Thanh said. "This is not a good attitude and we hope the agencies will have a solution to ensure a safe environment for tourists in Nha Trang."
